Allenwood Community Amenities The Allenwood Community is a master planned community in a quiet, scenic, park-like setting. It is within walking or biking distance to Jarvis Creek Park, the Island Recreation Center, the Boys & Girls Club, the Hilton Head Island school cluster and the north end shopping markets. Located close to the Cross Island Expressway makes getting around town easy!
Community Center and Pool:
Allenwood features an award winning design community center with a pool.
Lake:
The residents at Allenwood also enjoy a two acre lake with a bridge that connects community walking paths.
Jarvis Creek Park:
This 53 acre park with an 11 acre lake features several amenities: rest rooms, barbeque grills, playground, floating dock, picnic pavillion, boardwalks through wetlands, and asphalt and mulch trails. The lake is stocked with Blue Gill and Largemouth Bass for catch-and-release fishing.
Island Recreation Center:
The Hilton Head Island Recreation Association is a non- profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for all area residents by effectively managing and enhancing public recreation programs and facilities. The Association produces, provides, and coordinates public recreation programs, "wellness" activities and special events.
